Moving is one of the most stressful weeks any homeowner experiences. Boxes everywhere, movers scheduled, kids out of routine, two homes simultaneously demanding attention. The cleaning that has to happen — at both ends — is usually the last thing anyone has time for.

Move-In / Move-Out is built for that week. Empty home, top to bottom, every surface — including the ones routine cleanings don't touch: inside all kitchen cabinets and drawers, inside the refrigerator, freezer, oven, and dishwasher, inside bathroom cabinets, pantry closet floor and shelves, backsplash degreased, all baseboards wet-wiped by hand, light fixtures and ceiling fans, switch plates and door frames. The home is handed over (or received) in turn-key condition.

Most Move-In / Out clients book through referrals — from previous clients, from real estate agents, from movers. The work is intensive and we schedule it around your closing or key-handover date.

How long it takes.

A Move-In or Move-Out clean for a typical 2,500–3,500 sq ft home takes a full day (6–8 hours) with a team of 2–3 cleaners. Smaller homes may finish in 4–5 hours; larger or more demanding properties may extend into a second day.

What's the difference between Move-In and Move-Out? +

Move-Out: cleaning an empty home you're leaving, so the next family receives it in turn-key condition. Move-In: cleaning an empty home you've just purchased, before you bring in possessions. Same scope, opposite directions. Both should ideally happen when the home is fully empty.

What's included that a Deep Clean doesn't cover? +

Move-In/Out includes inside all kitchen cabinets and drawers, inside the refrigerator, freezer, oven, and dishwasher, inside bathroom cabinets, the pantry closet, backsplash degreased, all baseboards wet-wiped by hand, light fixtures and ceiling fans, and switch plates. A Deep Clean covers the home top-down with the assumption that closed spaces (cabinets, appliance interiors) are off-limits. Move-In/Out opens everything. Interior windows, tile & grout steam cleaning, blinds, sunrooms, basements, and garage sweeping are available as add-on services.

When should I schedule it? +

After movers finish (move-out) or before movers arrive (move-in). Empty homes are essential — we can't deep-clean inside cabinets that still have dishes in them. Coordinate timing with your closing or key-handover date and we work backward.

Can you do it the same day I close? +

Sometimes, depending on closing time and route availability. For high-priority closings, tell us your date early — we'll do everything possible to fit it in. Same-week turnaround is standard.

What about utilities and access? +

We need water and electricity running. For move-outs, that means leaving utilities on through the day we clean. For move-ins, ensure they're activated before our arrival. Access (key, code, lockbox) we coordinate during booking.

Do you offer pre-move-in cleaning for renovated homes? +

Yes — common request. Newly renovated homes (or homes you've just bought after renovation) often have construction residue that needs a full empty-home reset before move-in. We handle those routinely.
