About Algonquin
In Algonquin, the homes themselves tell the story of how the village changed — and how we built our routes around it.
Algonquin sits along the Fox River where Kane and McHenry counties meet — once a 7,000-person village, now a community of roughly 30,000 with a mix of historic homes near downtown, mid-90s subdivisions, and newer construction stretching east along Randall Road.
The homes here range widely. Older craftsmans and cottages near Main Street. Family colonials and two-stories in neighborhoods like Spring Creek and Willoughby Farms. Larger homes on golf course lots in Trails of Boulder Ridge. And the newer builds with higher-end finishes — engineered hardwoods, quartz, large kitchens — that need consistent care to keep their look.
Algonquin also sits at the heart of the Fox Valley golf belt. The Golf Club of Illinois — a Dick Nugent design dating to 1987 — anchors the village along Edgewood Road. To the west, the prestigious Boulder Ridge Country Club, with its 27-hole championship course and private gated community, sits just over the Lake in the Hills line and serves much of the same Algonquin neighborhood. Many of our standing clients live in the homes that grew up around them.
This is where ChicProClean started in 2016. Joanna and Carlos cleaned their first Algonquin home that year, and the standing client list that grew from those early visits became the foundation of everything we do today.

What started as a single home in 2016 became, over the next decade, a family-run cleaning service across two zones and 38 communities. The Algonquin route was the first — and it's still the one with the most miles on it.
