Who we are.

This policy is from ChicProClean LLC ("ChicProClean," "we," "us," or "our") — a family-run premium home cleaning business owned and operated by Joanna and Carlos Soto, serving Northwest Illinois since 2016.

This policy applies to information collected through our website at chicproclean.com, our forms, our text and email exchanges with you, and any service interaction with our team.

What we collect.

We only collect information you give us — directly, through a form, a phone call, a text, or an email — and a small amount of basic website data that helps us keep the site running.

Information you give us

  • Contact details — name, phone number, email address, service address
  • Home details — square footage, number of bedrooms and bathrooms, pets, access instructions, anything you tell us so we can quote and clean accurately
  • Scheduling details — preferred dates, frequency (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly), special requests
  • Photos — only if you choose to send them to help us prepare a quote
  • Job applications — if you apply through our Become a Cleaner page, we collect what you submit on that form (name, contact info, work history, availability)
  • Payment information — handled by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers on our website

Information collected automatically

  • Basic web analytics — pages visited, approximate location (city/region from IP), device type, referring site
  • Standard server data — your browser type, the date and time of your visit, and similar information that any website receives

We do not use any kind of facial recognition, fingerprinting, or biometric tracking. We do not collect sensitive information like Social Security numbers, government IDs, or health records — because we don't need them to clean your home.

How we use it.

We use your information for the obvious, expected reasons — and nothing else.

  • To respond to your quote request — call or email you, prepare a custom quote, and follow up if you have questions
  • To schedule and deliver service — book your cleanings, share access instructions with the team assigned to your home, send appointment confirmations
  • To send service reminders — text or email reminders before your visit; schedule changes if something comes up
  • To handle billing and payment — invoice you for completed service, process payments, send receipts
  • To improve our service — review feedback, fix what isn't working, train our team
  • To comply with the law — meet our tax, accounting, and legal obligations
We don't send marketing emails. We don't run remarketing ad campaigns. We don't profile you. We clean houses.

How we share it.

We share your information only with the people and tools that need it to do their job. Specifically:

  • Our cleaning team — your address, access instructions, and any special notes go to the cleaner(s) assigned to your home
  • Our service providers — the platforms we use to run the business: our website host (Netlify), our scheduling software, our payment processor, our email and texting tools, our accountant. Each one only sees the slice of data it needs.
  • Legal compliance — if we're legally required to share information (a subpoena, court order, tax audit), we will, and we'll tell you about it if we're allowed to
  • A future business transfer — if ChicProClean is ever sold, merged, or restructured, your information may transfer with the business, subject to this policy

We have never sold, rented, or traded customer information to advertisers, data brokers, or any third party. We never will. That's a promise, not a marketing line.

Forms & processing.

Our website forms — the Request a Quote form and the Become a Cleaner application — are processed by Netlify, our website host. When you submit a form, the data is transmitted securely (HTTPS) and stored in our Netlify account, then forwarded to us by email.

Netlify is a U.S.-based company that handles website hosting and form processing for thousands of small businesses. They have their own privacy policy and security practices — you can read them at netlify.com/privacy.

We may also use spam filtering and basic bot-protection tools on our forms to keep junk submissions out. These tools see form submissions briefly to decide whether they're real.

Calls, texts & email.

When you give us your phone number on a form or in conversation, you're agreeing that we can contact you by phone, text message, and email about your quote, your service, scheduling, and your account. We use texts most for things like appointment reminders, "we're on the way," and schedule changes.

We don't send promotional texts. Standard message and data rates from your carrier may apply.

You can opt out of texts any time by replying STOP to any message from us, or by telling us directly. You can opt out of email by replying or telling us. Note: if you opt out of all communication, we won't be able to deliver service — we'll still need to reach you about active appointments.

Cookies & analytics.

Our website uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies — the kind almost every site uses — to make things work properly and to help us understand what's useful on the site.

  • Essential cookies — keep the site functioning (security, form submission, basic navigation)
  • Analytics — if we use a tool like Google Analytics or a similar service, it tells us how people use the site in aggregate (pages visited, time on page, general location) so we can improve it. Analytics data is not used to identify you personally.

You can control cookies in your browser settings — block them, delete them, or get a warning before they're set. Doing so may break parts of the site.

We don't run advertising trackers, retargeting pixels, or third-party ad networks on this site.

How we protect it.

We take reasonable, common-sense steps to keep your information secure:

  • Our website runs on HTTPS — all data submitted through it is encrypted in transit
  • The platforms we use to run the business (hosting, scheduling, payment) all use industry-standard security
  • Access to customer information is limited to the people who need it — our owners and the cleaner(s) assigned to your home
  • We don't print or post customer addresses, phone numbers, or notes where they could be seen by people who shouldn't see them

That said: no system is ever 100% secure. If we ever have a security incident that affects your information, we'll let you know promptly and tell you what we're doing about it.

How long we keep it.

We keep your information only as long as it's useful — and then we let it go.

  • Active customers — we keep your information for as long as you're a customer, and for a reasonable period after to handle any final billing, warranty, or service issues
  • Quote requests that didn't become bookings — kept for about 12 months in case you reach back out, then discarded
  • Job applications — kept for up to 12 months, then discarded
  • Billing and tax records — kept for the period required by IRS and Illinois tax law (typically 7 years)

You can ask us to delete your information sooner — see the next section.

Your rights.

Regardless of where you live, you can always:

  • Ask what we have on you — we'll tell you what information we hold
  • Correct something — wrong phone number, new address, anything
  • Delete your information — we'll remove what we can, while keeping what we're legally required to (like tax records)
  • Opt out of texts or marketing emails — though again, we don't really send marketing emails to begin with
  • Take your information elsewhere — we'll send you a copy of what we have if you ask

If you live in a state or country with specific privacy rights (California's CCPA, the EU's GDPR, etc.), you may have additional rights under those laws. We'll honor them. Just tell us what you need.

Children's privacy.

Our website and services are for adults. We don't market to children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information through our site, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy.

We'll update this policy when something material changes — new tools we use, new types of information we collect, new laws we have to comply with. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date at the top of the page. For significant changes, we'll let active customers know directly.

The version on this page is always the current one.
