Long Grove is unlike most of the Northwest Suburbs — around 8,000 residents in a village that deliberately preserved its semi-rural character, with the historic Old Town district (anchored by the famous covered bridge), the gated Wynstone community shared with Barrington, and larger residential properties on lots typically much bigger than neighboring villages.
The homes here range from genuinely historic homes near Old Town to substantial newer estates in Wynstone, Royal Melbourne, and Hidden Lake. Many properties sit on multi-acre lots with mature landscaping. The pace of the village is slower — and the cleaning gets to match.
