Lake Zurich is one of the more residentially diverse villages in the Barrington Area — around 19,000 residents built around Lake Zurich itself, with the prestigious Old Mill Grove subdivision to the south, Knollwood and Indian Hill to the west, and the lakefront homes that wrap the village core.
The homes are bigger than they appear from the road. Lakefront properties on Lake Zurich often hide substantial square footage behind modest front facades. Old Mill Grove homes — most built in the 1960s-80s — are substantial mid-century and traditional estates.
